Friends of Natalie Poulson (“the Campaign,” “we,” “us”) is committed to handling supporter information with care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you visit friendsofnatalie.com, donate, volunteer, use the chat widget, or otherwise interact with the Campaign.

We follow applicable federal and Washington law, including Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) reporting rules at the Washington Privacy Act where applicable.

Information We Collect

You may give us:

• Name, email, mailing address, and ZIP code when you donate, volunteer, request a yard sign, or contact us

• Donation details, processed by third-party processors (we do not store full card numbers)

• Messages you send us, including through the website chat widget

• Event RSVPs or survey responses

• A mobile phone number only if you enter it in the chat widget and complete the SMS consent step

We may automatically collect:

• IP address, browser type, and pages visited (analytics and site improvement)

• Cookies or similar tools (you can control these in your browser)

Public records. As a Washington political campaign, some contribution information must be reported to the PDC and may become public. We do not collect or publish more than the law requires.

How We Use Your Information

We use it to:

• Send email updates and process donations

• Organize volunteers and events

• Improve the website

• Meet legal duties, including PDC reporting

• Send SMS only if you opted in through the chat widget, as described below

We do not sell your personal information.

Text Message / SMS Communications

SMS opt-in is collected only through the website chat widget. Entering a phone number anywhere else on this site, including the donation or volunteer form, is not SMS consent.

If you submit your number in the chat widget and check the consent box(es), you authorize Friends of Natalie Poulson to text that number. Depending on which box(es) you check, messages may include:

• Informational / transactional messages (campaign updates, event details, election reminders)

• Marketing / promotional messages (volunteer asks and calls to action)

Message frequency varies (typically 1–5 per month; more near elections). Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not required to donate, volunteer, or use the website. You must be 18 or older to opt in to SMS.

Sharing Your Information

We do not share your data with political parties, other campaigns, or third parties for their own use unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and be cautious with shared devices.

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
